Generative AI | Web Design | Marketing

During my time working on the College Football Playoffs, I took the lead in creating templates and mockups for each round of the event, collaborating closely with my supervisor to ensure alignment with overall branding goals. This project was particularly exciting as it marked the shift from using product images to featuring models wearing the apparel, providing a more dynamic and engaging visual experience. It was a truly collaborative effort, with a team coming together to make this vision a reality for the NCAA team first time. As the only designer on the team capable of handling the complex design needs, I was proud to contribute to this landmark project.

AI Model Graphics

Using the MidJourney AI generator, we create innovative and visually compelling model graphics. While AI can produce impressive results, it often requires significant refinement to reach the desired level of realism. When the initial output is strong, we enhance it further through a process called Magnific, which smooths out any animated qualities and makes the image appear more lifelike. However, one challenge we frequently face is that AI-generated hands often lack natural detail, so we avoid showcasing hands in the final graphics. After multiple rounds of review and adjustments, we finalize the model and then seamlessly incorporate the champion's apparel and colors, ensuring a polished, high-quality design.

For the 2026 College Football Playoff, AI remains a supporting tool rather than a primary creative driver, used specifically in emergency or time-sensitive situations. Our go-to platform has shifted from MidJourney to Gemini, which has proven to be highly reliable when working with existing, professionally produced photography.

Rather than generating people or lifestyle scenes from scratch, our focus is strictly product-based imagery with no human subjects. Gemini allows us to seamlessly replace or adapt apparel within already captured photographs, enabling quick, realistic updates that maintain authenticity and brand accuracy. Final compositing and refinements are always completed in Photoshop, ensuring full creative control and a polished, production-ready result.

This workflow allows us to achieve realistic, in-the-moment visuals while preserving consistency, quality, and speed when deadlines demand rapid execution.
